What is Ukrainian:
The Ukrainian language is the state language of modern Ukraine, descended from the Old Russian language. The Ukrainian is one of the four languages belonging to the Eastern family of Slavic groups. Spoken by nearly 41 million people, it is the second most common among the Slavic languages and is in the third ten most common languages in the world. The beginning of the existence of the modern version of the literary language and Ukrainian literature dates back to the 18th-19th centuries. The literary Ukrainian language contains Russian and Polish borrowings. With time, Ukraine gave more importance to Ukrainian in the definition of national identity and established a policy to promote Ukrainian.
