What is Chinese:
As part of the Chinese language family, Mandarin Chinese is one of the most widely used languages across the world. It is mainly spoken in China, Singapore and Taiwan by more than 955
million native speakers. Outside of China, large Chinese communities share this language, which is taught in many high schools and universities around the world. This enthusiasm is
favored by the rise of China as a major economic power, as well as the globalisation of the economy and exchanges in the language dimension. Mandarin is reputed to be difficult both
phonetically and grammatically, but remains a very attractive language with future prospects.
