What is Arabic:
Arabic is one of the main languages of the world. Over 300 million people in over 20 countries speak Arabic. This Afroasian language appeared several thousand years ago. At first it was spoken only in the Arabian Peninsula, later it spread to other territories. Spoken Arabic is very different from the literary language. There are also many different Arabic dialects. People from different regions, when talking to each other, often do not understand each other. Classical literary Arabic is hardly spoken today. It occurs mainly in written form. Interest in the Arabic language has grown significantly in recent years. Especially Arabic script leads many people to admiration and is written from right to left.
