Levantar-se

Levantar-se means to get up or rise from bed. In European Portuguese the pronoun normally follows the verb in a simple affirmative sentence, giving levanto-me, but it moves in front after words like não or que, as in não me levanto cedo. Without the reflexive pronoun, levantar simply means to lift something.
