Community Policy
Univext is a global community of learners and Teachers built on trust. This Community Policy sets out the standards of behavior we expect from everyone who uses Univext, so that our community stays safe, respectful, and reliable for all.
This is a living document, as we're constantly refining our approach to meet the needs of our community. These five standards—safety, security, fairness, authenticity, and reliability—remain central to how we protect our members and foster a positive learning environment. We're always working to make sure they're upheld and enforced.
Safety
Harming yourself or others
You should not threaten, incite, or engage in physical or sexual assault, sexual abuse, sexual harassment, human trafficking, or any other act of violence against anyone. members of dangerous organizations, including terrorist, organized criminal, and violent extremist groups, are not welcome in this community. Univext is committed to working with law enforcement as appropriate and responding to valid law enforcement requests.
We take suicide, self-injury, eating disorders, and substance abuse extremely seriously, and we work to help people in crisis and direct them to appropriate resources.
Threatening anyone
You should not convey an intent to harm anyone through your words or actions. We also take threats of self-harm as seriously as we do other threats and may intervene if we become aware of one.
Protecting minors
You should not engage in any conduct that sexualizes, exploits, or endangers minors. Content or behavior of this kind will be removed and reported to the relevant authorities.
Security
Theft, fraud, or extortion
You should not take or misuse property, accounts, or information that aren't yours, access others' accounts without authorization, or threaten anyone with bad ratings, reports, or any other penalty or harm in order to obtain compensation or other benefits you are not entitled to.
Spam, phishing, or fraud
You should not make transactions outside of Univext's payments system; commit payment, subscription, or credit card fraud, or launder money; attempt to drive traffic to other sites or market unrelated products; divert payments meant for others; or make false claims against other members of the community.
Violating others' privacy or intellectual property rights
You should not access others' accounts without authorization, share someone's personal information without their consent, or violate others' privacy, copyrights, or trademarks.
Fairness
The global Univext community is as diverse, unique, and vibrant as the world around us. Fairness is what holds us together, what makes it possible for us to trust one another and feel as if we can truly belong.
Discriminatory behavior or hate speech
You should treat everyone with respect in every interaction. You should follow all applicable laws and not treat others differently, or insult or demean them, because of their race, ethnicity, national origin, religious affiliation, sexual orientation, sex, gender, gender identity, disability, or serious illness.
Bullying or harassing others
You should not share personal information to shame or blackmail others, target anyone with unwanted contact, defame others, or violate our review and content standards.
Authenticity
Because our community is built on trust, authenticity is essential—it requires a balance of shared expectations, honest interactions, and accurate details.
Misrepresenting yourself
You should not provide a false name or profile photo, maintain duplicate or fake accounts, or use other Users for commercial purposes that Univext does not permit.
Misrepresenting your services or content
You should not provide inaccurate information about yourself or your lessons, misrepresent the type, level, nature, or details of the Teaching Services you offer, substitute one service for another, set up fake or fraudulent lessons, leave fraudulent messages, or otherwise engage in deceptive behavior.
Reliability
Because our community makes commitments based on the expectations we set, we have to be able to trust each other's reliability—whether in timely communication, the quality of the Teaching Services provided, or the expectations we set with one another.
Providing poor services
You should not provide Teaching Services that are sub-par, unsafe, or otherwise unacceptable, or that are not in line with the expectations you have set with Students.
Being unresponsive
You should not be unresponsive in connection with your Bookings, fail to provide an adequate point of contact, or refuse to participate in our dispute resolution process.
Reporting and enforcement
If you believe that someone has violated this Community Policy, please contact us. Univext may investigate reported conduct, remove content, and limit, suspend, or terminate the accounts of Users who violate these standards.
